2020, 2021

The First Meeting(s)

We first met on 18th of July 2020 in Pazug, next to Piran, when Christian and Ajda’s sister Marusa decided to go for a diving class at Nemo divers. Ajda decided to join her sister and spend some time on the lovely Slovenian coast. In the evening, we were all sitting together for some drinks. After this evening, we got connected on social media and were writing occasionally. The next year, only Christian went for diving again, but got blamed for not announcing his visit to Slovenia beforehand.

The next meeting happened in November 2021, when Ajda went to Porto for holidays and was flying out from Vienna. As the flight departure was 7am, we met for an early early morning coffee with a goodbye hug, that had severe consequences for the future.

2022

A Visit in Rovaniemi

After the meeting on the airport, Ajda offered Christian to visit her in Rovaniemi, Finland where she was working at that time. Not even the intense work schedule and the expensive flight prices could stop Christian from finally flying to Finland for a long weekend in April 2022. After some nice hiking in the snow and Northen lights in the night, things escalated and Christian decided to come back to Finland two weeks later to see Ajda as soon as possible, before she moved back to Slovenia. There, it was easier for Christian to visit her, just even for a night if not possible otherwise.

A couple of weeks later, the mum of Christian passed away and Ajda was an important support for Christian during this dark time.

2024

She said Yes!

In a magical night and “Northern” lights in Vienna, Christian and Ajda went to Bisamberg for watching the spectacle. At the end of this spectacle, Christian proposed after Ajda mentioned, that it would be a perfect moment for engagement even though she is wearing sweat pants – but Christian doesn’t have a ring with him. By a fortunate coincidence, Christian got the engagement ring earlier on exactly that day and still had it in the backpack.
